8 Tips To Become More Relaxed

8 tips to relaxStaying calm and collected is not always an easy task. From time to time, things can get just a little bit too difficult and stress levels rise.

However, there is always a solution to every problem, and in this article you are going to learn eight amazing tricks that will help you to become more relaxed and calm.

Pay close attention, because what you are about to discover will change your life for good!

Here are eight of the best ways to become more relaxed and calm:

1.  Get more sleep – if you can sleep more, then you will find your mood improves drastically.

Eight hours’ sleep per night tends to work pretty well for most people, but the best way to sleep is going to bed early enough that your body clock wakes you up on time for school or work.

2.  Avoid caffeine as much as possible. Most of us love a morning coffee, and although many people consider it to be an absolute essential component of the modern lifestyle, caffeine is still a stimulant that can cause crankiness and irritability.

3. Take a cool shower in the morning, it will calm you down and help you feel refreshed for the rest of the day.

A shower that is too hot will leave you flushed and generally feeling uncomfortable.  A cool shower works especially well if you live in a warm environment.

4. Exercise daily. At least 30 minutes of physical activity per day releases “feel good” endorphins that will have you relaxed in no time.

Regular exercise is also fantastic for your overall health, so make sure you lace up those running shoes and pound the pavement.

5. Take a “micro-break” every hour at work – if you’re one of those people who get stressed out easily in the office, then try taking a short two-to-three minute break every hour.

Down tools and stand outside for a few seconds, then close your eyes and breathe deeply. Or you could go for a walk at lunchtime with a colleague; it will keep you healthy and strengthen your relationship with your work colleagues.

You will find that a walk will increase your productivity at work, which means your boss probably won’t mind at all!

6. Cut down on refined sugar and carbohydrates in your diet, as these can lead to insulin spikes, which in turn can result in nasty mood swings.

Try to eat more wholegrain carbohydrates, such as wholemeal pasta and bread.

7. Allocate at least an hour per day to enjoy your favourite hobby. For example, if you just love reading books, then you need to allocate a fixed amount of time every day to sit down and read a new title.

Hobby time is your chance to get in your own mental zone, become more relaxed, and have an awesome time.

8. Spend ten minutes every day meditating and clearing your mind of all thoughts; this is one of the most effective relaxation techniques known to man.

There is a reason meditation has been practiced by millions of people of all creeds and religions, throughout the centuries – it works for providing clarity, relaxation, and mental focus.

There you have it – eight simple and effective ways to become a more relaxed, content, and happy person.

Start using these little tactics in your daily life, and you will definitely notice a massive improvement!

The cold shower works becuase it stimulates a lymphatic response, peristalsis of lymph fluid that collects over night. The drainage eliminates toxins and cleanses the body. The vasodialation response to the cold water creates the ‘feel good’ effect acheived from a cold shower.
